Malindi, Gede, Snake Park & Falconry Tour Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel at 9:00 AM and drive along the Mombasa-Malindi Highway for approximately 120–140 minutes, passing massive sisal plantations while learning about the area’s rich history. Upon arrival at Gede Ruins, explore the fascinating coastal history and visit the nearby butterfly park. Continue to the snake park and falconry, home to a variety of bird species and an impressive collection of snakes of all sizes. Witness how venom is extracted for medical purposes. Take a walk through the mangrove reeds at Mida Creek and keep an eye out for fish eagles or flamingos. For lunch, you have the option to dine at Dabaso Crab Shack, a locally run seafood restaurant built on stilts within the mangroves.
